Crash Closes Portion Of PA Turnpike Near Downingtown Exit

A crash closed a portion of the PA Turnpike in Chester County Monday, June 6, officials said.

All eastbound lanes were blocked beginning at mile marker 312.4, just east of the Downingtown exit, and continuing until the Rt. 29 exit, according to the Chester County Department of Emergency Services and PA Turnpike Alerts.

Drivers were urged to seek an alternate route off the Downingtown exit to avoid delays.

It was not immediately known if there were any injuries.
